Following official information received yesterday pertaining to the Plan Vigipirate, applicable to all governmental and non-governmental institutions with a link to France, the  Alliance Francaise of Washington DC reserves the right to ask first-time visitors for their government-issue ID when they enter the building.

Tours in French at the National Museum of African Art: Sunday, March 3

Sunday 3rd March 2024 — 1:00pm to 2:30pm

The tours will include highlights of the museum’s current exhibitions with special attention to artists from Francophone Africa. Participants in the tour are assured a diverse group of works and historical time periods.

These tours are free but registration is mandatory. Tours will take place throughout the Festival:

Saturday: March 2, 9, 16, 23rd and 30th,1:00 PM - 2:30PM

Sunday: March 3, 10, 17 and 24th,1:00PM - 2:30PM

Thursday: March 7, 14, 21 and 28, 1:00PM - 2:30 PM

Your guide will meet you at the Reception Desk on the Ground Level.

The National Museum of African Art is located at 950 Independence Ave, SW (Metro: Smithsonian, exit: Independence Avenue).
