The Alliance Française offers seven weeks of camps in Summer for children ages 5-8 & 9-12. You can either sign up for one week, several, or all of them; your choice!
All levels and Francophones are welcome. Every week, we offer a new topic with hands-on activities and a specific field trip.
Week 4: Calling all curious cooks and creative minds! This week-long culinary adventure dives into the science, history, and art of jam-making. Campers will explore how fruits transform through cooking, sugar, and heat, discovering the difference between jam, jelly, and fruit paste while expanding their French vocabulary.
They’ll follow real recipes, measure ingredients, learn about sterilization and conservation, and even experiment with textures and flavors. Alongside cooking, campers will design labels, decorate jars, play food-themed games, and practice presenting their recipes like true TV chefs. The week ends with a festive showcase of their creations, where every camper earns their “Maître Confiturier” diploma. A hands-on, brainy, and tasty experience from start to finish 🍒🥄
