As part of this year’s edition of the Festival de la Francophonie 2024, The Alliance Française of Washington, DC (AFDC), in partnership with the VEN Hotel at Embassy Row, is organizing the Art Exhibit "aVENues of Connection and the Art of Francophone World" featuring work by artists representing the Francophone world. This powerful exhibit will launch on February 29th. The exhibit will stay open to the public in the Gallery room of the VEN Hotel, at 2015 Massachusetts Ave NW, through March 2024.

We are now seeking submissions of painting, collage, sculpture, photography, or other objets d'art to comprise this exciting exhibition. If you would like to participate, please apply by sending an email to the AFDC Director of Cultural Programs Natasha Bollier at culture@francedc.org with the following by February 26th at the latest:

· Digital image of each submission

· Description of the piece (example: canvas painting, sculptural piece, photograph, etc.)

· Measurements, width and height, approximate weight if available

· Francophone country you are representing

· Artist name and brief biography

· Contact name, phone, and email

Submission of multiple pieces is strongly encouraged to ensure that the curation team has options to choose from. The chosen pieces will be announced as soon as possible to allow ample time for delivery and installation. Delivery to the hotel will be the responsibility of the artist, and installation will be handled by the hotel’s gallery team.

For more information and any questions, please contact Natasha Bollier at culture@francedc.org.
