Beaujolais and Beyond Celebration

Growing in popularity, this year’s Alliance Française Beaujolais Nouveau gathering for the annual wine harvest in France will take place at La Maison Française. This adored French fête will be held in celebration of the popular annual tradition of uncorking the Beaujolais Nouveau wine.

Join us for a joyous, elegant evening featuring light fare from leading DC restaurants such as La Sandia, Zengo, and Zentan, as well as French breads, cheeses, pâtés and pastries. Guests will be treated to free-flowing Beaujolais Nouveau, courtesy of Georges Duboeuf, in addition to a selection of wines from France, Italy, Spain, and California (see list below).

To complement the libations, festivities will include a local Washington DJ and dancing, a blind tasting contest, trivia quia, silent auction, and a raffle for round-trip tickets to Paris from Air France.

From 7:00 to 8:00 prior to the party, VIP ticket holders will enter the heart of the Embassy to enjoy a private tasting event with respected members and personalities from Washington's political and professional circles. A Jazz Quatuor, the Hot Club of DC will provide live music to set the ambiance.
