At the Alliance Francaise, Culture knows no barriers: Culture is for all and welcomes all!
I bet you have never heard about the « green Venice » (la Venise verte). But it is an enchanting series of ancient canals in the La Vendée region of France where I grew up. It was in this region, with its beaches, historic abbeys, and famous brioche that I developed a love of French culture and language which I get to share through AFDC. Teaching French is one of my passions and I have a Masters in French as a Foreign Language and have taught in Australia, Sri Lanka, France, and the U.S. I’m always thrilled to see the linguistic progression of my students! Bienvenue à l’Alliance française!
I love teaching French, and I have a passion for linguistics and pedagogy. I also love to entertain and laugh. Some students (ok, most…) say that I am a bit of a clown. I’ve also been called the grammar police or the phonetics dictator. I take it all as a compliment ! Not just anyone is given the opportunity to be both at the same time. That’s why for 5 years now, the AFDC has been the perfect fit for me : a place where you teach or learn and all the while enjoy yourself.
So welcome, and welcome back ! Here with us, the world is your huitre !
